Till few months back watches are known only as a device used for knowing time, but now time changed, the definition of watches too, Now a days  watches becoming a personal assistants. Today watches are mp3 players, camera, mini smart phone etc now a days, so let us know what are the transformations happen to today‘s watch industry, here i am going to introduce some of the models available today market.

Samsung released a watch based on android on September -4 2013 ,it comes as a assistant to Samsung smart phones and tablets which are working on android 4.3  . the watch is comes with  single core 800 MHz ARM CPU, and 1.6 inch super LED display of 320X320  resolution, 512 MB RAM and  has 1.9 MP auto focus camera, and 4 GB internal memory, a speaker, microphone, accelerometer, 315 mAh battery etc.

It doesn’t have any SIM card, or any other data connectivity except Bluetooth which is used to communicate with parent device, it synchronized with our parent device always, and the notifications, messges, etc are will appear on the watch and we can read and do basic operations in that watch

Sony smart watch 2

This is from another king Sony, it comes with following features.1.6 inch (22X176) TFT display

Which make reading possible even behind the direct sunlight. it has 3 capacitive buttons, and a micro USB port is there for charging  like sony xperia z it is also dust proof, water resistant, it uses 180 MHz ARM cortex M4 processor as its brain and bluetooth 3.0 for connectivity. This is also compatible with smart phones which uses android 4.0 or above. For using this we have to download ‘smart connect ‘ application from google playstore we can check facebook, twitter, email etc updates on this watch by synchronizing with our mobile. This device offer a battery backup for 4-5 days for normal use. The main advantage over samsung galaxy gear is sony smart watch 2 is compatible with most of all android devices  

Qualcomm Toq

After sony and samsung qualcomm also entered in to  the field of watches, Toq comes with 1.55 inch 222 ppi capacitive touch screen with qualcomm mirazol display technology, and for charging it uses qualcomm viper LE-magnetic resonance wireless charging. It has 200 MHz cortex M3 processor as its brain. It can receive the phone calls, messages, social network updates etc. And we can use it as music player using bluetooth headset. The display gives natural look even at heavy sunlight no reflection can observe
